For one house:
1 1/2 stick of butter (150 gram)
1 cup of sugar (2 1/2 dl)
1/2 cup water (1 dl)
1/4 cup syrup (1/2 dl)
1/2 tbsp ground cloves
1/2 tbsp Cinnamon
1/2 tbsp ground ginger
1/2 tbsp Baking Soda
3 3/4 cup flour (7 1/2 dl)
- Mix flour and baking soda in a bowlMelt butter in a pot, add water, sugar and syrup finally add the spices. Let the mixture cool before pouring it over the flour mixture.
- Let the dough rest in the fridge for 24 hours
- Roll the dough very thinly, cut out your pieces. It is easiest to roll the dough directly on the parchment paper.
- Bake for 420F (225C) until golden brown. Bake equal sized pieces together
